Face Lift

A face lift, also known as a rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that is used to reduce the signs of aging in the face and neck. The procedure involves lifting and tightening the skin and underlying muscles of the face and neck to create a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

During the procedure, the surgeon will make incisions in the hairline or behind the ears, and then lift and reposition the skin and underlying tissues. The surgeon may also remove excess fat and tighten the underlying muscles to improve facial contours. Depending on the extent of the procedure, the surgeon may use local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.

A face lift can be used to correct a variety of cosmetic concerns, including sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and loss of facial volume. The procedure can also be combined with other surgical or non-surgical treatments, such as brow lifts, eyelid surgery, or facial fillers, to achieve more comprehensive results.

After the procedure, the face may be wrapped in bandages or a compression garment to help reduce swelling and support the new contours. Recovery time can vary depending on the extent of the procedure, but most patients can return to work and normal activities within two to three weeks.
