Erick G. Martell, MD

Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Martell comes to Fairbanks, Alaska following 21 years of distinguished service in the United States Army. While practicing as a general surgeon in the Army, the dynamics of plastic and reconstructive surgery drew Dr. Martell to further train and develop in the specialty. Dr. Martell believes in treating all patients with honesty and respect. He will not recommend what is necessarily popular, but what patients need, what is safe for them and what actually meets their goals. Dr. Martell takes a patient-centered approach to his practice, believing it is imperative to build the trust of his patients through competence and communication.

Interests & Activities

An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Martell enjoys hunting and fishing in Alaska's wilderness. He has hunted in many locations throughout the United Sates, but says he was exposed to a "different level of hunting in Alaska." He describes the notion of living here as an opportunity that most people do not get to experience, and looks forward to spending more time outdoors in Alaska.
